CMH Foundation

Community Memorial Healthcare opened its doors to the public in March 1958. The opening of the hospital was made possible by the generous donations of community members. Today, that tradition of working with the community continues and ensures that CMH is able to provide the best health care possible to its patients, families and the community.

CMH Foundation was created to serve as the fundraising mechanism of Community Memorial Healthcare. As such, the Foundation proudly supports the healthcare needs of the citizens of Marshall and surrounding counties. Dollars raised are granted to the hospital for capital projects such as new construction, renovation, and equipment; not for operational costs. Since 2012, the Foundation has granted over $940,000 to the hospital for equipment and program needs.

As healthcare resources become scarce and costs to acquire the latest technology grow, charitable contributions help CMH to expand on the services it provides. We invite you to explore the ways your gifts can change lives and make a difference in our community.

CMH Foundation would not be able to assist the hospital without the faithful support of our donors. Together, we help make a difference and change lives!

2025 Foundation Year-End Giving Campaign

The 2025 End of Year Giving Campaign is underway. Each year department managers submit equipment needs their areas have for the coming year to the CMH Foundation Board of Trustees for funding consideration. The trustees then include the approved requests in a year-end mail campaign to donors. Funding equipment needs through charitable giving helps to shrink the financial gap resulting from decreasing revenues and increasing expenses experienced by the hospital while allowing the donor to receive tax benefits for their gift. Donors can choose to fund a specific item request or have their gift go toward priority needs as determined by trustees. Requests fully funded by donors will be released for purchase. For any requests not fully funded through donations, trustees and hospital administration determine which are considered priority needs. Trustees can also approve the use of foundation reserve funds, when appropriate, to assist with priority needs.
