Dietary Aide/Cook - Dietary
Full-time or Part-time Cook position available. There will be some variation with the hours due to the duties that are needed to be completed. Primary hours will be 5:45 a.m. - 2:15 p.m.

There is also a need for a part-time Dietary Aide. Hours would be 4:00-7:00 p.m. a couple days per week and weekend shifts are 5:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. or 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Responsibilities include:

Prepare food for hospital patients, employees, and visitors.

Review menus to determine type and quantities of meats, vegetables, soups, and desserts to be prepared. Plan cooking schedule to assure that each item is done at the necessary time. Confer with the Dietary Manager regarding therapeutic diets, use of leftovers, and quantities to prepare.

Procure food from storeroom or refrigerated area. Prepare or supervise the preparation, cooking, and service of meats, vegetables, hot breads, soups, desserts, and special hot foods for therapeutic diets. Observe and taste the food being cooked and season accordingly.

Carve, cut, or apportion food for standardized service.

Serve patient trays with hot food according to individual diet order. Serve cafeteria line for employees and guests.
