Description: As a member of Heartland Health Alliance (HHA), CMH participates in "Sterling Connection, Enriching Lives Over 50," a program of Bryan Health in Lincoln, NE. HHA is a network of urban and rural hospitals that brings the finest health care services to the people of Nebraska and Kansas. Sterling Connection is a comprehensive program of health related services for people age 50 and older. It offers a unique array of benefits designed to provide members with resources to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. CMH will sponsor monthly luncheon specials (Sterling Connection Lunch Bunches) featuring a healthy meal and guest program speaker. All Sterling Connection members in the Marysville area will be invited to the monthly luncheon series. Our next Lunch Bunch, Wednesday, May 1st, features Cindy Miller, Outreach Coordinator, with the Alzheimer's Association, Northeast Kansas Regional Office, Topeka. Her program is entitled: Let's Talk About Dementia.

Location: CMH South Plaza Conference Room
Description: CMH is offering an American Red Cross cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid class taught by certified CPR instructors. Cost is $55 which includes a $25 pre-registration fee. Books and materials included. Red Cross Certification will be issued upon completion. Class size is limited, so please call early to register.

Event: Child Loss Grief Support Group
Location: South Plaza Conference Room
Description: This support group was established for individuals who have suffered the loss of a child. If you have experienced the loss of a child of any age, please feel free to join us. You may be a parent, grandparent, aunt or uncle. The support group will provide an opportunity to talk about your child and your feelings, and is a place to speak freely, knowing that you won’t be judged and that what you say is confidential. Cheryl Stohs, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Community Physicians Clinic, serves as the group leader. Information on grief will be available, but the main emphasis will be on supporting each other through this life changing event.
